Tribes is the culmination of three years of deep work born from a longing to
mend the fractures in our human family. The collection comprises ninety-
nine sculptures in twenty-six groupings. Through the ancient act of carving
stone, Wendy Hendelman offers a vision of healing: a reimagining of
connection, resilience, and belonging.
As early humans etched their presence into cave walls to declare, I was
here, Hendelman carves man, woman, and child into timeless forms, each
figure a quiet beacon of unity. With chisel and resolve, she shapes not only
bodies, but the bonds between them, restoring what time, conflict, and
distance have worn thin.
In the most unyielding of materials, she uncovers a most tender truth: we
are many, yet we are one.
Tribes is more than sculpture; it is the heart of a growing, global movement.
As the cornerstone of a philanthropic initiative, the collection supports
children in underserved communities around the world. Through social
media, editorial platforms, celebrity advocacy, and grassroots outreach,
Tribes becomes a rallying cry for family in its broadest, most inclusive form.
This is art not just to be seen, but to be felt. To be shared.
To remind us all: we belong to each other.
